Preservation Toolkit Workshop

Feb 6 2019 - Feb 8 2019

Want to tackle that daunting rehab project but not sure where to begin?

Join the Mississippi Heritage Trust and instructors Mike Grote and Jonathan Leit with Alembic Community Development of New Orleans to learn about the fundamental principles of historic preservation and real estate finance. In additional to sharpening their pencils to master real estate calculations, participants will work with seasoned developers to learn how to assess the development potential of historic buildings and explore successful rehabilitation projects. A key component of the workshops will be helping participants understand how incentives like tax credits are used to close the funding gap and bring historic places back to life.
