Located on the beautiful 150-acre Lake Lowndes, Lake Lowndes State Park offers recreational facilities for individuals, families and groups. The park offers an array of outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, bird watching, water sports, mountain biking, picnicking, and also hiking on the award-winning Opossum Trail – a 5.6 mile trail with a self-guided tour outlining native plants, trees, and wildlife in the state park. Cabins are available for rent, as are facilities for football, tennis, softball, and other organized sports.
